Visit the 33rd Moscow International Book Fair without the hassle of actual travel — simply attend online, thanks to our continuous live broadcasts.

Most of the international book fairs were forced to be held online, because of the temporary COVID restrictions. However, the 2020 Moscow International Book Fair is the first one to provide both online and offline activities to its visitors.

Many foreign and Russian authors will take part in the events of the Fair remotely. You will also be able to connect to discussions and round tables.

The events will also be broadcast on this website, as well as within the MIBF VK community - https://vk.com/mmkya (in Russian).

The Moscow International Book Fair is the largest and oldest book forum in Russia and Eastern Europe, a notable event in the cultural life of Moscow and Russia and one of the most important social projects for locals and guests of the city.

The Moscow International Book Fair is organized by the General Directorate of International Book Exhibitions and Fairs with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, the Russian Book Union and the Moscow City Government.

Over 270 offline events will take place at the Moscow International Book Fair in five days. This year, however, all foreign authors, publishers, illustrators and other book industry professionals will also participate in the fair online. Other headliners of the international agenda include Frederick Beigbeder, as well as Bernard Werber and British author Sophie Kinsella.
Guest of honor — the Republic of Korea

As the guest of honor of the 2020 Moscow International Book Fair, the Republic of Korea will take the visitors on an extensive online tour of the Korean book publishing industry and introduce the most interesting latest releases and authors as part of its 'Future-ing' ("Future is today") program. Books, seminars and materials on contemporary Korean society, culture and art will reveal to you the future that has already arrived.
Business program for industry professionals
This year's business program will be larger thanks to the new digital formats.

Book market specialists are looking forward to the industry conference 'Russian Book Market — 2020', the international conference under the aegis of the International Publishers Association (IPA) 'How the book industry is emerging from the pandemic: Survival strategies and support trends', round tables 'Self-publishing in Russia: a driver of development or business based on graphomaniacs', 'Audio segment: market trends, growth points, marketing technologies' and 'Literary translation as a method of cultural diplomacy'.
New MICBF 2021 is coming!
Moscow International Book Fair in association with Bologna Children's Book Fair announces the opening of New MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S BOOK FAIR in 2021.

International publishers and illustrators are now welcome to join the special program at MIBF 2020 on September 2-6 in Moscow and online at MICBF.MIBF.INFO.

While we are getting ready for the New Moscow International Children's Book Fair launch, we invite professionals to join the special MICBF's events at Moscow International Book Fair in September 2020.

This program aims to boost the integration of Russian and International publishing societies. It will be organized by MIBF in association with Bologna Children's Book Fair.

The program will reflect the outstanding progress that the Russian children's book publishing made in recent years, designate its place on the international scene, create new relationships and strengthen the existing ties in the professional community.

Illustration as a vital part of children's book is in our focus. A new generation of Russian illustrators are getting noticed worldwide.

To broaden the influence of visual narratives, this part of the MIBF's programme will be devoted to picture books, comics, graphic novels, fanzines, artist's books. The floor will be given to art groups, art and design schools, art - print enthusiasts.

MICBF's project at MIBF2020 will become the international festival of books, illustrations and visual culture and the catalogue of creative forces rapidly developing on the Russian stage.
For the second time MIBF shall host a special edition of the Illustrator's Survival Corner, a three-day educational marathon created in partnership with Bologna Children's Book Fair and Mimaster Illustrazione (Milan). For years it has been a core event of the Bologna Children's Book fair and one of the leading educational projects in the illustrator's world.

This year all events of ISC will be held online, which will allow young professionals from around the globe, wherever they physically are, to meet Russian and international experts working at the front lines of children's publishing. Our focus this year will be on creative and practical aspects of illustrated non-fiction and graphic novel.
